Day-by-Day Itinerary
Airport – Kandy (approx. 120 km / 4 hrs)
Our representative welcomes you at Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport. Drive to Kandy, visiting the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage – home to elephants lost or separated from their herds – and a spice garden to learn how Sri Lanka's famous herbs and spices are grown and used. Check in and overnight stay in Kandy.
Kandy Sightseeing
After breakfast, visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa), the Royal Botanical Gardens with over 4,000 plant species, Kandy Lake, a gem gallery (collect a free pass for the cultural show), the Kandyan dance and cultural show, and a silk & batik factory. Overnight stay in Kandy.
Kandy – Nuwara Eliya (approx. 85 km / 2 hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Nuwara Eliya via Ramboda Falls, a tea plantation and factory, and the Sri Bhakta Hanuman Temple with its 18-ft Hanuman statue. Explore 'Little England' – Lake Gregory, Victoria Park, Hakgala Garden (Ashok Vatika) and the Seetha Amman Temple, sites linked to the Ramayana. Check in and overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.
Nuwara Eliya – Bentota (approx. 230 km / 6 hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Bentota for a Madu River boat ride through the mangrove islets, a visit to the Kosgoda sea turtle hatchery, and water sports (jet ski, banana boat, tube). Check in and overnight stay in Bentota.
Bentota – Airport (approx. 120 km / 2 hrs)
After breakfast, proceed to the airport for your departure flight.
