Day-by-Day Itinerary

Bagdogra – Phuentsholing (approx. 4 hrs)

Pickup from Bagdogra Airport and transfer to Phuentsholing. Overnight stay at Phuentsholing.

Phuentsholing – Thimphu (172 km / 6 hrs)

After breakfast, complete the tourist permit at the Phuentsholing immigration office and transfer to Thimphu, Bhutan's capital and largest city, seeing waterfalls and the Chukha Dam (top view) en route. Check in. Overnight stay at Thimphu.

Thimphu Sightseeing

After breakfast, visit the Durga/Shiv Temple, Buddha Point, Coronation Park, the Takin Zoo (Bhutan's national animal), Memorial Chorten, Folk Heritage Museum, National Painting School, School of Arts & Crafts, the Handicrafts & Textile Museum, the handmade paper factory, Tashichho Dzong and Simply Bhutan (traditional culture programme). Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Thimphu – Punakha – Paro

After breakfast, visit Dochula Pass, Chimi Lhakhang, Punakha Dzong and the suspension bridge (the longest in Bhutan), then transfer to Paro. Overnight stay at Paro.

Paro Sightseeing or Tiger's Nest Hike

After breakfast, visit Rinpung Dzong (Paro Dzong), Kichu Lhakhang, Drukgyal Dzong (currently closed to tourists), the Tiger's Nest viewpoint and Ta Dzong (Paro Museum). Alternatively, start early for a full-day hike to Taktsang Lhakhang (Tiger's Nest) – about 2–3 hours uphill each way through pine forests. Overnight stay at Paro.

Paro – Phuentsholing

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Phuentsholing with sightseeing on the way. Overnight stay at Phuentsholing.

Phuentsholing – Bagdogra

After breakfast, check out and drop at Bagdogra Airport.
