Day-by-Day Itinerary
Arrival in Delhi
Arrive in Delhi to start the Golden Triangle tour. After refreshing, visit Akshardham Temple and enjoy the light & sound show. Overnight stay at Delhi.
Delhi Sightseeing
After breakfast, start with Old Delhi – Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque built by Shah Jahan – then drive past the Red Fort and visit Rajghat, the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. Continue to New Delhi for the Lotus Temple and Qutub Minar (India's tallest minaret at 72 m), and drive past India Gate, Parliament House and Rashtrapati Bhavan. Overnight stay at Delhi.
Delhi – Mathura & Vrindavan – Agra (220 km / 4 hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Agra, visiting the Krishna temples of Mathura and Vrindavan on the way (temples close 12 noon – 4 PM). On arrival, visit Agra Fort (built 1565) with its Pearl Mosque and Nagina Masjid. Evening check-in. Overnight stay at Agra.
Agra – Fatehpur Sikri – Jaipur (240 km / 6 hrs)
Visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise – one of the Wonders of the World, built of white marble by Shah Jahan in memory of Mumtaz Mahal. Return for breakfast and check out, then drive to Jaipur visiting Fatehpur Sikri, the UNESCO-listed city of Emperor Akbar, en route. Check in at Jaipur. Overnight stay at Jaipur.
Jaipur Sightseeing
After breakfast, visit the magnificent Amber Fort (optional elephant ride), followed by Jal Mahal, City Palace (still home to the royal family), Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal. Overnight stay at Jaipur.
Jaipur – Delhi (270 km / 6 hrs)
After breakfast, check out and drive to Delhi for your onward journey.
